Was out trimming up some cedars and my saw handle broke in half. Was a cheap saw but it was the one I had. The big hit came 30 minutes later. The girlfriend grabbed my sweatshirt and didn't check the pockets. When she opened the washer my $250 range finder was sitting on top of all the clothes full of water. It's drying out know but I don't have much hope for it. So I guess I'm ordering a Wicked Saw next week and researching range finders. I can live without one and I probably will this season as I really don't have the cash. I hunt allot of different sets and I never remember my yardage marks from one time to the next the range finder just made things easier.

Any good suggestions let me know.

Wicked hand saws rock! Good choice! Too bad about the range finder tho.

you might want to put the rang finder in a bag of rice and leave it for a couple of days. it might suck all the water out for it to work

I found a bushnell truth rangefinder on ebay for just over 100$. No complaints. I always use silky pull saws (hand and pole models) because that's what I buy for work. They are dangerously sharp. One pull usually cuts through a 1" diameter branch.

If you have a food saver put in in a vacuum sealed food saver bag and put out in the sun. It will draw the moisture out of it! Hopefully it will work after that!

Hopefully you didn't try to turn it on right out of the washer. I have used the rice trick for a cell phone before and it worked, it is at least worth a try with the range finder.

I've been using a cheap Gerber hand saw for years. Last year the handle broke and they replaced it for free. I had to send it in so it took almost weeks but it saved me from buying one. Luckily this was in July last year so I had plenty of time.

My girlfriend drop her camera in a lake. Her dad took it apart blew it out with a air gun and its been working ever since. Its worth trying something. You might get lucky.

It's been in a bag with rice since last night. She did take the battery out immediately. There is just no way to take it apart. The rice trick worked on my cell phone before but that wasn't in a super wash cycle. You can still hear water slashing around inside the range finder. Also sounds like something came loose inside. Sounds like a baby rattle

My Bushnell rangefinder went for a spin in the washer. I took out the battery and just let it dry out, has worked fine every since.

My dad has a range finder I can use. He's decided not to crossbow hunt. Ordered a Wicked Saw with tree pack today. I'm sure they are busy this time of year hopefully they aren't backed up to far.

Sorry to hear it, try the range finder in some rice, it should dry it out! Good luck.

Put the rangefinder in a bowl of rice for a couple days. Open it up, take out batteries, and completely cover it all the way around.

The range finder was dead. Several days in rice no luck. Still moisture inside. Will be using my dad's this year. I hate that thing it's big and clunky and forget about using it at last or first light but it will get be through I guess.
