Kicking the season off right !!!!!

Slow roasted venison on a bun and fries...........yum
Today is our season opener for bowhunting deer, is there any other way to hunt them.........tomorrow morning I'll be posted up on a funnel, 15 or so yards across with my recurve.

Looks good !! We cooked up the last of our burger yesterday in a big pot of chili . Season opens Monday

 

SP, that really does look yummy. Good luck to you all as well. I don't want to tag out too early though, "the anticipation is greater than the realization". I HAVE to hunt the rut! In my area (WMU 5-D) of Pa, antlerless archery opens next Sat until Oct 3rd, when regular antlered/antlerless archery opens. I am pumped!

Yep, I did the same thing last week before my season opener! Good call.

 

I've got two fresh ones soaking in salt water in the cooler(I killed one and my son killed one). One of the backstraps is already gone. I think i'm going to smoke the shoulders today. Dang its nice that season is back!!
