It Is opening day for me tomorrow...and I will be watching my brother in law play his first home college football game. I seriously don't know if it has set in yet that I will not be in a stand opening morning. This is painful. Hopefully I will be rewarded for my sacrifice . Love ya, jake. You guys better win! Your brother in law will only have one first home college football game and you have all season to hunt, so if it's important to him that you are there, be there. Enjoy the game.
JGD, you make a great point. Thanks for putting things into perspective for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the moment that we live for and we all need things to be put in perspective. It happened to me a few times in the past. Enjoy the game today, and enjoy the rest of your season.
God, Family and then everything else is how I try to run my life. Your life and your choice. Blessings.
It's your Brother in Law, he's nobody.... Go hunting ....(just kidding lol) as others stated, family 1st ad there are countless other days for you to hunt, you are doing the right thing!!!!!
I think you made the right decision. Enjoy the game for what it is and just take in the whole experience with your family.
I used to let hunting rule my world. Then I realized hunting is a small, yet important part of me, and if my family or friends need me I am not hunting.
You can record the game...You cant record the hunt!!! Opening day for Ohio is the 27th. My niece is getting married. I will be in the stand but out in time to make the wedding. Particularly since I have to sing in it! Family comes first brother!
You're doing the right thing as am I. My wife's grandparents are coming in from Arkansas and staying today and tomorrow. I really want to be in the stand, but don't want to be rude to my g-parents. Hunting can wait, although it kinda sucks. I haven't missed an opener in years.
Family first. There will be plenty of opening days, and plenty of days in a stand. If he doesn't understand how much hunting is important to you, he will one day.
