Ok after reading the top 20 list in another thread I would like to know what the members here think the top 10 whitetail states are? I am not concerned about how hard a tag is to get or how much it costs just if you could go anywhere where would you go?
1. Iowa 2. Kansas 3. Wisconsin 4. Kentucky 5. Ohio 6. Idaho 7. Missouri 8. Oklahoma 9. Nebraska 10. Illinois

Hopefully Missouri will be higher on those lists in a few years. The Department is discussing making some changes that will vastly improve our deer herd.

First one that has had OK on the list and I completely agree with that. I can't believe how often that state is overlooked!

Obviously Texas would be the actual 10th state. I'm still partial to KS and MO...
1) Iowa 2) Ohio 3) Wisconsin 4) Kansas 5) Indiana 6) Texas 7) Oklahoma 8) Kentucky 9) Missouri 10) Montana
I probably would have overlooked it too, except I have been doing a little recon work on OK. Might try doing a hunt down there in the next couple years
We will get you in iowa in a few years! Start putting in! I got about 1500 acres of private property you can choose from!
No Arkansas? Lol. We have some decent deer too guys! They just happen to migrate in from states around us. Lol
Thanks for overlooking us. I think we're growing up of late. 95% of OK is private land and landowners/managers are finally realizing the $$$ potential of leases and letting young bucks grow up, habitat improvement and the like. Obviously we have plenty of deer with combined limits of 6 deer total - 2 being antlered.
1. Ohio 2. Kansas 3. Iowa 4. Wisconsin 5. Illinois 6. Indiana 7. Oklahoma 8. North Dakota 9. Kentucky 10. Minnesota Honorable mention since it isn't a state would be Saskatchewan, would be in my top 5 I think.
