I practice QDM for the most part to a T pass yearlings etc, now if your wife got her hunting/bow license this summer and you wanted to get her her first deer with a bow, would you allow her to take this buck? (See photo)
Um.....not worthy of questioning in my opinion. If she will be happy and especially if first one, DUH! :D
That's enough for me Lol she even said its a little one she knows how I get about deer growth but I feel the first legal deer whether doe or buck if it makes her happy SHWACK! Thanks for the input!!!
You have to remember it's supposed to be fun. As long as it makes the hunter happy then why not let them shoot it.
First deer and if she would be happy with it then I'm all for it. Don't let anything get in the way of allowing you or your family the enjoyment of hunting and shooting what ever makes them happy, especially in the early years.
My dad is going to come to Ohio this year from Mississippi, he is getting up in age and I'm not sure how many more hunts we will be able to make together. We practice quality deer management but he will be given the green light to shoot any deer he wants on the farm. Doe, small buck or a monster buck, it doesn't matter to me, it's the experience and the memories that matter the most.
It would be a no brainer for me...let her shoot what she likes. I think that the happiness of your wife might help you when it comes to maybe hunting more or in other states.
