I have to show off my new bow that Gentry at GT Performance Archery set up for me. Dead on the 352 IBO with my set up. Shooting it much better than I have in years with only 75-100 shots behind the wheel. Deadest, quietest, least movement on the shot, silky draw, back wall that is like the Elite and Obsessions, and set up with almost 87% let off.
How is it an 87% let off? Do they offer different mods because that's not even close to what it's listed at.. Sweet looking bow though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am holding about 8.7 lbs at full draw on 65 lbs which works out at about 86.6%. I really do not know how Gentry did it but I do know you can adjust the draw stops.
Absolutely love mine. I seriously can't imagine owning a bow that could shoot better for me. I really have to give majority of the credit to the bow. I owned a Bear Method the year before, and shot well with it, but nothing like I'm shooting with the Xcentric. Not saying that I'd ever take a 75 yard shot in the field, but I confidently practice and group extremely well at 75 with the Xcentric. I didn't really even attempt shooting more than 40 or 50 with the Bear. I'm anxious to see what kind of negative things people have to say about these bows because honestly I can't find a flaw in it.
I absolutely love the Xcentric I shot.....I'll be buying one soon! I have to get the 7 though because I'm a 30.5 draw but it still shoots smoking fast for a 7 inch BH and like you said.....its silky smooth!
Consider the same person designed both, I would say it is basically an OB riser. The Xpeditions are really turing some heads this year.
I liked the Obsession bows and these look every bit as nice. The only thing I don't care for is the draw length specific cams. Almost everyone uses an adjustable module these days.
I really don't see everyone's gripes with a draw specific cam. Especially if you're done growing. Unless you have a 30 inch draw you can get the most efficiency at any DL out of DL specific cams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes until you go to sell the bow...or until you need to " swap cams " and your dealer want a 125... DLS cams suck, been there done that.
Good looking rig. I've always been a fan of the camo riser w/black limbs. What stabilizer is that? Looks like a Stokerized?
Definitely get that side. But if your the kind of person who keeps one bow for a while it's fine. While I do change bows a lot a 28 inch DL is pretty common so a sale isn't too hard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DLS cams are great too when you order a bow with 28.5....get it and slap it to the draw board and it comes is at 29".....now you need a cam swap ...good luck with that. I will stick with 30-40 dollar mods ...
I don't like them simply because you're kind of stuck with the draw length you initially get. A perfect example is myself this summer. I switched releases, which in turn gave me an additional 1/2" of draw length. All I needed to do was rotate a mod and I was good to go. No going to a dealer, no ripping the bow apart, etc. And like someone else said, selling the bow later becomes a bit more problematic. Especially on bows like the Xpedition's because there aren't that many dealers around yet. This is in no way a knock on the OP's bow. I think its a killer looking bow and a shooter from what everyone is saying. I look forward to seeing where they go from here.
Very true but on an elite (mods) you still need to pretty much take the bow apart. At least press it and remove cables. So the only difference is cost and my dealer swaps cams for free as long as yours are in good shape. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
