I just purchased a Strother Wrath SHO. These bows are a little over 30 inchs axle to axle. I have never shot a bow this short and being that I'm left handed, I didn't get to shoot one before I ordered. I am currently shooting a Mathews Drenalin that is 33 inches ata. DO you guys think that I will have accuracy problems or any problems adjusting to this shorter bow????????????
I've generally stayed with bows that are 32-34" AtA, usually 33-34". I'm a 28.5" draw length and the 30 and under bows just didn't feel quite right for me. I've heard good things about Strothers bow's. I'm sure you'll be fine. SCFox
Your DL and cam size and position of the cams at full draw will affect the feel. I generally like a 33"-35" bow. I have shot a few 30" I could have dealt with. In general it's a ratio thing. The shorter your draw the more comfortable you will feel with a shorter ATA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My DL is 27.5 and I shoot a Chill (30.5 Axle to Axle) without any problems. I think you'll do just fine
40yd. 29" draw length and 33" ATA. This bow: 50yd 29" draw length and 33.75" ATA. Another 50yd with 29" DL and 33.75" ATA. This bow: I've seen people shoot well with long DL's and short ATA's. Practice, comfort and confidence is the key to it all. In the case we are discussing I believe for me the most important part has been comfort. If I haven't been comfortable, I haven't been consistent. Can't get my anchors to feel the same every time because I have felt cramped and uncomfortable. That's just my experience though. Unfortunately, you will just have to wait and see how it goes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I shoot a ballistic (30.5 ATA) at a 29" draw. The steep string angle was a bit odd the first few times I shot one, but after shooting them at the shop a few times I fell in love with the bow. Now its zero issues and im shooting 3 inch groups at 40 yards
