I would say 133" maybe 135" at the most. It is a beautiful buck but you need tall tines and mass to get BIG as an 8.
That what I was thinking since he didn't have much time length would hurt the score. Never the less though still a good deer! Best I've seen in these parts in a long time
that spread....that spread. I'd say 146. As already mentioned; 8s gotta have serious tine height to get over 150.
I respectfully disagree with anything lower than 150's. It's not easy to hit the 150 mark for an 8 point but that one does it easily. RG1 7" RG2 10" RG3 7" (rounded up) RMB 28" RC1 6 RC2 5 RC3 5 RC4 4 LG1 8" LG2 8" LG3 8 LMB 27" LC1 6 LC2 5 LC3 5 LC4 4 ISPC 22" Total 160 Obviously the measurements are estimated but I feel they are close enough to keep him safely in the 150's. No way in heck does he not make it past 140 even if my estimates are off a bit by the each.
That is a close up of the deer so everything is going to look bigger. Plus he is going to lose A LOT of mass when the velvet comes off. There is no way he has one 6" mass measurement.
I respectfully disagree, we'll have to agree to disagree and if he's taken then one of us can chest beat I guess. 6" mass measurement isn't all that extraordinary at the first point of measure. Even so the score came out 160...like I said there's a hell of a lot of room to play with. With his ears out, close up has basically nothing to do with it.
I am with RAXX, that is one heck of a buck for sure!! I think he is in the upper 130s pushing 140. He needs more mass and better tine length to be hitting 150s as a 8pt.
Wow...okay. Hope he hits the ground and we get an official score because one side or the other of this is sadly mistaken. I have an officially scored 148 5/8 buck on the wall here in front of me and the one posted is bigger without a doubt...but whatever.
Around 140" tops. I have seen a 152" 8 point that my uncle shot and it has a lot more mass and tine length. Hell of a buck regardless
He is close to the camera and velvet makes him look like he has more mass. I do have one of him further from the camera and he didn't shrink!
