Awhile back I saw a video, in which, hunters were using climbing treestands. They had these really neat looking bungee type tree straps that hugged the tree that you clipped your tether into. All they did to climb the tree was spread it open a little then toss it up the tree some and it snugged back up. It looked like a really safe and easy way to stay clipped in the whole time when using a climber. Does anybody know what they are called or who makes them? Or if they're junk and not worth it? I'm interested in checking it out more and if worth it I'd like to get a couple for my girlfriend and I before season starts.
Yep, Q-Safe. Been using it for the last couple of years. I like it much better than just a regular strap, faster, quieter. It's not a bungee but has springs in the strap that goes around the tree. I put it around my waist when walking out, then wrap it and climb. I think I got mine from the Sportsmans Guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pXN7AyGqIY
