I was out last year at my wma and a couple guys had a big fat blunt and were tokeing pretty hard..after that they went hunting I promptly left and went home....now I think its a bad idea not to mention a felony here where I am period......I never said a word on account of the c.o checking my story out and them guys getting upset..i think I was smart to keep my mouth shut what do you guys think..them guys might have been pretty sore if they knew I had told what I had seen...regardless I think that it has no business in the woods..

My wife was born and raised in Northern California where Shasta county borders Trinity county. It's not a big deal in that area to smoke, and carry on with life as normal. I have never seen any of the family smoke before bow hunting, but I will say that it's such a social norm in that area that I would say they defiantly would have a bit of a background buzz on them in the woods. But like I said they don't make a huge deal about it. It is just a social norm up there.

No. No different than drinking IMO, other than the fact that it's illegal in all but two states.

I think it's ok in Colorado but illuminated nocks and site will get you busted for sure.

I personally wouldn't do it. All the noise from me munchin on Capt'n Crunch or Doritos would scare all the deer away!!

Once you get home you can have an adult beverage or take a few bong rips I really don't care but it doesn't belong in the field.

No place in bowhunting for it! Keep that nonsense in your own personal space. Not where others are not to mention carrying a weapon.

Couldn't agree more. Hunting accidents happen enough as it is with sober hunters.

You can not hunt Unicorns any longer due to population numbers being low but pixies are abundant during the Rocky Mountain High bow season.

Never smoked anything in my life...probably not many my age that can say they never been high or tripped on anything. Im not against weed, but think for sure there are times when it shouldnt be done. Like driving, working most jobs, and when you have a weapon in hand.

I can honestly say I have never used anything illegal either. I've never been close enough to any drugs to even smell them as far as I know. Doing that especially while out hunting is just stupid.

Why is this even a question? or a post for that matter. I'd like to go on record as saying I don't think people should do any of the following during hunting hours.

    1. Drive drunk in the woods.
    2. Shoot heroin.
    3. Snort cocaine.
    4. Point the barrel of the gun at their face to see if it's loaded.
    5. Climb into their stand with their arrows pointing at their face.
    6. Cook meth.
    7. Take a dump off the edge of their tree stand.
    8. Take anything that doesn't belong to him or her.
    9. Smoke weed.
    10. And last but not least. Litter. You shouldn't litter.

Oh, one more. You shouldn't start a fire either.

When we have to ask if its ok to get stoned before we start playing with toys that are designed for the sole purpose of killing, It's probably time to choose one or the other, the bong or the bow.

    HaHaHahahaha.... Just say No!

Crack heads and Bow Hunting do not mix.

Litter is despicably despicable and driving drunk is like buying a ticket on the "Crazy Train" then going "Over the Mountain".
