I lost my Private property that I have hunted for the last 16 years. I have taken several nice bucks (nice to me) from it over the years.

At first the owner leased it for gas drilling but after about a year he had a dispute with the Gas company because they wanted to clear one of the hill side of all trees. He didn't want that and they pointed out in their contract they could.

Apparently he decided to just sell them the whole farm.

Had the place to myself except for one other guy.

It will be different this year. I got a few other places but they get lots of pressure.

Its hard getting a good place around here.

So getting fired up this year is hard to do.

Happen to me last year 2 weeks before opener. I to had to go to another farm with a lot of pressure also. I stuck to the basics played the other hunters to my advantage and was lucky enough to put down a nice buck. Gotta stay positive u never know. Good luck.

I've been there before so I feel your pain. Keep your head up and hunt as hard as you can. You also might look at leasing land. Maybe too late this year but split the cost up with a close buddy or 2 and you can get some real nice land out there.
