I found this story about Native American hunting, Ishi in particular. I found it one of the most interesting articles I have read. Particularly the part when Ishi hunts with no shoes or shirt and the reason for it. I dont think I would try it but I thought you guys would find this interesting. Ishi's method of hunting, from: Hunting with the Bow and Arrow by Saxton Pope, 1923.
Love reading about bowhunting like that. Really sparks the fire in me to go to "still hunting" I was obsessed with it for a few years, but never tried it. ""He also enticed deer by means of a stuffed buck's head which he wore as a cap, and bobbing up and down behind bushes excited their curiosity until they approached within bow-shot."" It's amazing to think of doing that in this day and age, but yet i really want a deer skin fur camo. Thats an overlooked aspect in almost ALL camo is diffusing light.
I recall watching a movie based on Ishi played by Graham Greene back in the early 90's, very good movie as I recall but sad.
