Just for fun and to spark a topic... what is your season bag limit for your state? I live in Maryland, where there are far too many deer. This state's bag limit is very generous, and I love it. 1 buck with the option to purchase a bonus buck for $10 (higher for non residents) and unlimited doe tags. I was born and raise in Pennsylvania, where it was (think it still is) 1 buck with your tag and you have to mail in and hope you get a doe tag for specific Wildlife Management Unit or WMU. In Maryland, your tag is good state wide and they are slowly introducing Sunday hunting days.
Here is NCs big game bag limits. The big game hunting license authorizes the hunter to harvest up to six deer. All six deer can be antlerless for all areas of the state. The season limit for antlered deer in the Eastern Deer Season is four. We can get bonus harvest tags for does. We also have an urban archery season in the cities that apply for it. Bonus Antlerless Harvest Report Cards allow for the harvest of two additional antlerless deer per card. These are NOT valid for use on game lands. Unlimited Bonus Antlerless Harvest Report Cards are available to each hunter. Bonus Antlerless Harvest Report Cards are valid during archery, blackpowder, and gun season in those areas with a maximum either-sex gun season. Bonus Antlerless Harvest Report Cards are also valid in cities, towns and villages participating in the Urban Archery Season I love bow hunting in NC. We can bow hunt provided you are on private land from Sept. 13th to Feb 14th.
One buck, but the baldies....whack 'em and stack 'em in my zone as long as you have the antlerless tags.
Utah, one buck. (If you manage to get a tag) The do sell some doe tags, but only about 400 in the whole state.
Oregon is a lottery that you put in for. Or there is general season tags. But you are lucky to get two tags for the year. This year I made out like a bandit and got a Buck whitetail archery, a either sex any weapon, and a late season rifle elk tag.
Depending on what zones you hunt, 2 either sex, 2 antlerless Sep 15th Dec 31st. Zones 11 and 12, add 2 more antlerless And runs thru Jan 31st. No sunday hunting though.
3 bucks per season but you can bag "bonus" bucks on certain management areas. 3 does per day for the entire season from late Sept thru early Jan...let's fill those freezers!
Two bucks unlimited antlerless deer in Illinois. Unfortunately because of this and bad EHD out breaks the last couple of years our numbers are way down. So my goal is to take one buck and maybe one doe for awhile until things change.
I'm in South Central Minnesota, and I am in a hunters choice area. 1 deer if my choice for the entire season.
Wisconsin = Highly depends on what part of the state you are hunting. Southern part you can buy unlimited doe tags. Middle part you can buy some doe tags. Northern part is no does and only 1 buck.
Pa = 1 buck with your license, doe tags can be purchased separately. Each unit has it's own allotment of tags and they are sold in rounds (July 14th, August 4th, etc) and can only be applied for at those times. A few special units have over the counter sales but not many.
Between VA & NC I can kill 7bucks (3VA & 4NC) and unlimited does. Counting Urban Archery seasons run from Sept. 6th through March 30th.
Private land Aug.15-Jan.1 Lower State Bucks- no limit antlerless deer- 8 either sex days, and you can buy 4 doe tags. One deer per day.
