I just want to see who else is still hunting with an older bow. So post your pics! I will post mine as soon as I take some.
My old bow was a 1998 PSE infinity srl-1000 My new (used off craigslist) bow is a 2008 PSE fire flite 33 (got it last year and killed the buck in my AVI with it) I will take photos tonight and post.
My Bear Polar LTD!! Killed my first archery deer with this bow!! Used it last year and killed a doe with it!
Don't have a picture, but I'm shooting a 2006 Bear Instinct... By no means "old", but older than what most are using.
This was my first compound when I was probably 12. More than a few years ago. I gave it to a guy I worked with for his son to use. Several years later I went to work for him after he opened his own shop and he gave it back. I tied a loop on it and played around with it for a while.
Great thread! I'll start with my very first bow I got when I was 8. It was so long I had to stand on a milk crate to shoot it! It's a bear golden bear. From there when I was 12 my dad gave me a bear "black bear" I used this and hunted with it up until 5 years ago ( from the 80s) My favorite bow was my dad's killing bow from the 80s until the early 2000s. He's taken dozens of deer with it. And he gave it to me 4 years ago. I used it one season and got a doe the first time out. I'd still be shooting it if the limb wasn't cracked! It's a PSE vector. My dad with a buck he killed using it:
I shoot an old (late 80's?) Pearson Cherokee II. Works for me. Can kind of see part of the bow in one pic and the group from sitting in the blind practicing at 25 yards.
After that went to a 1991 Darton Trailblazer, Next a Chuck Adams Super Slam Supreme @ 80# safari limbs ( Stupid Move).
Awesome thread. I have a Bear Whitetail II in a case. I'll have to post up a pick when I get a moment. I got it around 1986/7 and traded up to a Hoyt MT Sport back in early 2000's.
No pic, sorry, but my first compound bow I bought was in 1987. It was a Browning Cobra, 60lbs. I loved that bow, no clue what happened to it.
