I'm the total opposite, very prepared hunting prep wise, but have hardly touched my bow.

I shoot 3x a week. 10 stands hung, 8 cameras out. 51 days 9 hours until it's time to go to work!

I think you have been at it long enough that you know how to get things done!

Thanks Sam....I have the basics down but need to scout. I think I will get some good scouting done in September.

GL---I never shoot monsters, I am the self proclaimed best 2.5 year old buck killing machine in the world! hahaha

I'm in the same boat. All I've done is shoot and tinker, shoot and tinker. Now, I'm starting to get the itch to get out to the mountains!

I've lived in four houses this past year and been through three big moves. Things are finally starting to slow down to where I can actually breathe. Add working 30-40 hours a month of overtime I have been barely able to step foot in the woods.

My wife is pregnant with our first kid, sold our house and bought a new house, been super busy with work and are moving in less than two weeks. It's hectic and all I've done is shoot my bow and check a few cameras.

Just get in the woods with your bow. That sometimes can be a successful portion of the harvest. Sounds to me like you will be just fine!

Agreed. Time sneaks up on you so darn quick. I've got 2 days to BH tune and that's about it. And I keep forgetting to get the dang scent spray. I've gotta look through the forum again and find that thread on what most people use. I know it's at Wal-Mart but can't remember the brand.

Yep the blacktails is all we got. Couple good ones on the hit list. Hopefully the season pans out. Take a look at the pics in my Hit List thread. Crap Claw and BFF are 1 and 2 respectively. I'll post some picks for sure. I know y'all probably don't see this country too often.

I need to get my bow slinging arrows asap. Not enough hours in a day, but I have to squeeze it in somewhere. My last two seasons I shot all year and kept warmed up. This year I have been really light on shooting.

Well as far as the killing deer part I have a feeling you'll be just fine but more important than that I hope you get some time to just get out there and unwind. Hell with kids, work, and just the daily grind of life in general, sitting around in a tree with my bow sounds mighty good bout now! Good luck man.
