These pics don't help me any. Can't wait for opening day! Nothing like being on a good blood trail. Especially one shot in the morning.

Dang! Talk about making a man's mouth water! I had some great pictures from a pig I shot last year (my first bow kill) but I just went to post them and I guess they were deleted. I'll look on the laptop and see if they're on there when I get home this evening.

It doesn't look like any of these deer that made these blood trails took too many more steps.

I don't think any of those deer made it very far!

It is the only shot I probably would ever take again. It was a straight down shot on a nice 110-115 inch 8 pointer...I took the shot only due to I had an idiot neighbor (really long story) set up 30 yards away drawn on the deer as well. Was gonna wait to let it pass by for quartering away shot, but trust me he was set to shoot and it was then or never....arrow when straight down the middle of him and through his heart...froze instantly and fell over onto his back and slid down the hill a bit and done.

I am not an advocate of that shot at all, nor do I think I would take it again personally...despite the fact I know I can make the shot...the experience was awesome but a shot I regret in a way taking.

Holy crap. Your neighbor was bowhunting within bowhunting range of you? And you were both had your bows drawn on him? :jaw:

If you've watched any of my videos in the past days of Small Acre Hunting, this was just one of 3 neighbor's that bullied the neighbor into letting them hunt his 2 acres (adjacent to ours) with the knowledge we already hunted it....killer spot but not once they started trouncing around. So as seen in some videos we've hinged cut as a barrier all along that border.
