Not my biggest by a long shot...but definitely the most unique. I hunted him for 3 years in an urban (subdivision) area. The property i killed him on is 12 acres. The first year i saw him was in 2007. He was a 135" 8 point with a 4"drop tine. Seeing him is what led me to try to get permission in the area. Never saw him again in 2007. Summer 2008 he was back...again a mid 130s deer....but only a 7 point with a 6-7 drop tine. The property i hunted had a small creek that had a beaver dam on it....and when we had a good deal of rain it flooded and created an awesome funnel at the top of the beaver pond....unfortunately it was really dry that year.....and the pond never flooded.never saw him that year either. Summer 2009 i saw him 3 times...he was down to a 6pt frame but his drop tine exploded to over 11." Being that the property i hunted was so small, i couldn't hunt it for the first 2 weeks of the season because the wind was wrong every day. Finally on sept. 18, i slipped in. 30 minutes later he popped out and came right through the funnel. He was the only deer i saw. I shot him at 12 yards. My taxidermist estimated he was 8-9 years old. Like i said....I've killed alot of deer that score way more...but he is special to me because of how hard i worked for him.the drop tine makes him pretty cool too.:D

Yeah...not my mount. I just find it hilariously bad. Didn't mean to derail a thread.

I was hunting in Indiana in 2009 (Nov. 25th with a shotgun), and the action was pretty slow. Other than a coyote and a really small doe...nothing! Finally around noon I started still-hunting my way out. This was my last hunt, as I was packing up to head back that afternoon. I took the long way around, and soon heard a deer running. The big doe stopped about 30 yards in front of me...perfect shot, and I watched her crash into a tree and go down about 60 yards out.

Happy with my "consolation prize", I stood there enjoying the moment...only to have my thoughts interrupted by a loud grunt. Not believing my ears at first, I just stood there...that is until I heard it again...CLOSER! I quickly dropped to one knee and tucked in behind some brush as the big non-typical came running down the hill on the trail of the doe i had just shot.

Long story short, I made another great shot (though shaking by this time!), and the buck only went about 150 yards. Ended up having 14 points. Definitely a unique deer and an unusual hunt.

For my favorite mount of any animal its my this full body gobbler. He is the first one I ever called in and shot all by myself.

For deer its got to be last years buck. my biggest ever and I just really like the form I picked. Hung the stand and 9:30 the night before in the rain and shot him in the first half hour of hunting the next morning. Can't beat that! He is the middle one.

Rifle kill, not bow. Shot this 145" 10pt in Copiah County, MS in 2004. I got very lucky, I was sitting on a main logging road of the lease and he trotted across at 120yds at 7:15 in the morning. Idk if I will ever top this buck, but dammit I'm going to try!
