Any bow that feels right and comfortable to shoot is the one for you. Im 6,4 and I shoot a creed xs 28 inches axle to axle.
That has nothing to do with it. He will have a steeper string angle do to it being a short ATA and him having a long DL but it if its comfortable for him thats all that matters.
Thats the way i feel also. i am 5 foot 7 inches tall and also shoot the Ceed XS. I know a guy shorter than me who shoot a 33 inch axle to axle bow and loves it.
And it's not a sharp string angle either the creed have bigger cams to reduce this so it shoots like a larger ata bow.
My bear as a really sharp string angle so it leave the peep way out in front of me. I'm about 29 inch draw on the dot.
Personal preference mostly. I shot the Creed XS in the shop, and didn't notice any issue with the peep (I'm 6'4 and 29.5" DL). I shoot a Helim, which is right in that 30" range. I think if you do a lot of ground blind hunting, you don't want to get too much bigger. I would guess somewhere in the 30-33" is the sweet spot for being able to do anything. Longer bows like the elite 35 probably make for a better target and tree stand bow.
I don't think I'd go with more than 33. My draw length is 29" but I think it must be the way I'm built. I have a fairly long neck and long torso, so the peep is just too far out in front of me. To get the peep at a comfortable distance and have the string touching my nose, the draw needs to be out to like 41 inches!!!!
