Hi Everyone I'm new here on the forum, have been bow hunting for about 6 years and I love it! This is the video from my hunt last year, check it out and share if you like it! I shoot a snow camo hoyt spyder and it is absolutely awesome! Welcome to the site and congrats on the deer. Not to sound like a jerk but to offer some constructive criticism; your shot selection was poor, next time wait for it to turn broadside. That could have ended badly.
Thanks for the welcomes everyone! I've been cruising around the site all morning and it seems like a great community.. Of course that usually the case with bow hunters Thanks for the advice Coop, I have had mixed reactions to the shot placement, some think that a broadside vitals shot is the only place you should shoot and other agree that you can hit vitals through the front arteries, but either way it is true that a frontside shot is more difficult (more risk for being off and injuring) so you have to be very confident in your aim I guess
Another girl! Yay! Not to sound like a B-itch... lol I'm not a pro, never went hunting and would probably pee my pants from excitement and nervousness but I would have waited too. I also wouldn't "grab" the bow. Maybe it just looks like it in the video but your grip looks kinda tight.
Very nice buck. Congrats. Like said, shot placement is a little iffy. The front shot can be lethal but it is a smaller kill zone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
