I guess I won't be shooting for a few days I was cutting the heads off of some screws with a hacksaw today. The saw jumped off the screw head but didn't miss my thumb. Cut to the knuckle bone and nicked the tendon. The picture was taken just before the inevitable lidocaine shot in the middle of the cut....OUCH, GRRRRR!!!! After a 2 hour wait and 5 stitches later I went out the door. I wanted to leave and tape it up myself but the wife wasn't having any of that.
Thanks guys. That poor thumb has had a hard life. Split in 1/2 from tip into the first joint with a table saw, sliced with knives, pounded with a 20 oz framing hammer, slammed in a meat cooler door and now this. Poor ole thumb.
Skin glue is ok but not on a knuckle that bends a lot. AND..primary and secondary insurance, no out of pocket or copayment.
I just had a cut like that heal over! It sucks not being able to use your hands properly..especially shooting your bow.. I guess that's what I get for working at a butcher shop! Oh well..
