Sorry to rain on this post, rbhunting1, but I joined this group immediately after seeing this. I love hanging out with other men and women of God. Unfortunately my first post with that group was met with everything you said they don't do. A post asked if anyone used a product just because of who endorsed it. My simple response was that I used Realtree camo mainly because David Blanton was part of the Realtree team and I considered him a true man of God. I was met with a response from another member saying that anyone who would do that is a "lame hunter" and they went on to rant about commercialism and the [disguised profanity] they try to sell (paraphrased for brevity).

I tried to respond with a bit of humor and a light hearted defense of my hunting ability and was met with yet another attack. I decided that this was a different kind of Christian group than I expected so I cancelled my membership. Just wanted to be sure others know what they might encounter. Some may like it. I didn't.

I wish them well.

 

To mangle a quote from Oswald Chambers meant for singers:
The world doesn't need more Christian bow hunters, it it needs more bow Hunters that are Christian.

 

And that my friends is when one says: "BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!"
