From the start of growing season this year I have been getting pictures of a buck with a funky side to him. Didnt think to much about besides that he was looking mature enough for me. Last year I got pictures of a buck that had a messed up side also (same side). It got me thinking is it the same buck from last year?? Obviously he grew more but only think that I can really tell the differnce that it couldnt be him is the buck from 2013 had both brows. I always thought bucks would carry a trait like that from year to year, but would it be uncommon for him to not grow a brow this year?? Whats your thoughts same deer??

Thanks for all the input everyone. Watched him the whole spring but hasnt showed up the last two pulls. Could be because the corn is getting tall and hes hidding in there now, who knows. Going to keep a eye out for him to show up on one of the cams. As of right now I have one deer on my mind so if he does show back up he may get a pass from me. Still to early tell what deer im going to pin down on.

I had a buck I watched over 4 years when he was 3 he was missing a brow tine, must have injured it during growth, the next year he had the tine back but it was split.

I vote same as well. Seen similar instances on a property of ours. Had a buck called Hobble, his one side was always messed up but varied slightly each year as to the degree....he had a leg injury...I would bet this deer either had slight injury as well or infection.

Deer makes a good example of what a year can do. I know theres people out there that would of shot him last year saying he has bad genes and he needs to be taken out. In one year with a new set of head gear he packed on a decent amount from the year before.
