well, so I signed up, but there isn't much content on their website other than some broad mission statements. I understand this is a new organization, but where's the beef? eeeerrr, venison maybe?
I thought the same thing but it's free to join so I didn't worry about it. If they had been asking for paid memberships I'd have ignored the entire thing. Hopefully they add more content as the organization develops or they are going to be all talk and no substance.
It's a brand new organization with a problem that not everyone understands thoroughly, don't expect a ton of content right away. QDMA is running it, though, so expect to have some good information being posted in the future.
It has my curiosity peaked. however, I kinda distrust the involvement of the QDMA with it. will watch.. Wait.. Read and find out what they really stand for as time goes on.
QDMA CEO, Brian Murphy just announced the official launch of the NDA at The Quality Deer Management Association 2014 National Convention. I expect a lot of great information to come from this group.
The impetus for starting the organization just came in the spring, so since then I know they've been working hard to get the support needed to start it, establish some base funding, and develop some high level goals/mission/etc (all in a very small window a time). That said, as mentioned, there's not a full website or a lot of content, etc ready given that short timespan. But from what I've heard from Craig Dougherty, the Executive Director for the NDA there's a lot more to come soon. From the sounds of it this is going to be a very inclusive, umbrella organization with hopes of uniting all deer hunters - regardless of if you're pro-QDM or non-QDM, bow or gun, bait or no bait, etc, etc.
