I just finished watching last nights episode of Heartland Bowhunter and it was one of the best episodes I think I have seen. They have had a young man named Clay on the show for the past couple years and during this show he takes a buck they call Splits and this kids reaction is what its all about as far as I'm concerned. Just watching his reaction from when he spots the buck walking towards his stand all the way to the point when he puts his hands on him was just great. Just watching him almost made me feel like I was right there with him. If you haven't seen it you should check it out.
I watched it too, that kids emotions are priceless. But what a knowledgable young kid. Very calm under pressure and layed that arrow right in the pump zone. After the buck was gone the emotions poured out of him.
Yep, I love HB, they put out a top notch quality show. Clay has some pure emotion and passion in his reaction and you can't take that away from him. He's a good kid too, asking his dad to "come here" for a hug afterwards is priceless and something I can only hope to share with my son.
Watching the reaction and connection hunting brings reminds me of the times my father and I shared and can't wait till my kids are old enough to experience the same Bowhunt Madness
Great show! Good guys for sure! They definitely live what they portray in the show. I still stay in fairly regular contact with this dude.
I like the show. That girl's dad needs a lesson on treestand saftey though; a wooden stand, sitting her on a limb, etc., all made me cringe.
Unfortunately I don't get this channel. However, I have watched them all (just not as they come out). Hands down my favorite hunting show. Even my girlfriend likes to watch it. I've talked to a few of them and they seem like stand up guys which makes it that much better to watch.
I think he had a similiar reaction on and older video as well and I enjoyed it then too. He's a young kid so I think the crying/laughing is just his bodies way of dealing with that adrenaline dump after the shot and all the other emotion of the hunt. I think it's awesome not to mention he stays pretty cool and gets the job done which at his age is very impressive, to me anyway.
It was raining and I was stuck inside a few days ago and I found a bunch of their episodes online. HB and Major League Bowhunter are definitely the two best hunting shows out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
