Public Land Scouting - Short Video

    I went out this afternoon to try and find some private land to hunt and scout out the public land that I will head to for sure. I was unlucky in the private land search today but I did see some really good deer sign on the public land. I saw some really nice bucks and the one at the end of the video started on public land but moved across the field into private land. So hopefully I can pick him off before he crosses over. :tu:

    Very nice buck. Good luck this season, both with getting a deer and with finding a place to hunt.

    Oly, is that public land up by where you go to school? There's some good public land about 45 min to an hour south of there. If you're interested let me know. I've got several spots scouted there with potential

    Very nice! Keep on him thru the summer. Hopefully, he will keep that pattern into Oct 1st!

    As I have mentioned in other posts I have yet to see any bucks within approx 5 miles of where I have access to private property this summer. There is a LOT of corn so I am hoping they are still hanging in there.

    Thanks, I plan to keep an eye on him for sure. The deer are probably hanging out I there. At the farm I hunt there is more corn there this year so I thinks it's the same thing as you that they are hanging there more now.

    Yeah I will head over there at some point as well. I was all over the east side of champaign and vermillion county. Next I'll head north and possibly west if I feel the need.
