The thought is always on my mind do I go to my lease in Louisiana or my land in Mississippi on October 1st? Been haveimg a ruff couple of past year at the lease only 3 decent bucks killed last year and 50 acres of our 400 acre lease just got clear cut In Mississippi the deer always seem to be moving but those monster bucks are hard to find for me at least I'm my opinion it's a hard choice to make What do y'all think? Any input is welcome Louisiana or Mississippi ?
I'm biased for Louisiana, never hunted in Mississippi though. In my experience having part of your land clear cut might not be a bad thing, when it starts growing some thick cover for the next few years deer will most likely bed down in there.
