Aside from the beer, joints, and occasional opiate based narcotics that you folks partake...does anyone stay in the stand long enough to enjoy some culinary delights??

The only thing I ever bring to the stand besides equipment is Copenhagen and Swedish Fish...LOVE those things!! Beyond that when I am hungry, it usually means time to go get chow and check trail cams..

I'll often stick a few cookies and a bottle of water in a pack and carry along with me.

If I get an itchin' to eat I usually get outta stand and go eat although I have been known to pack in candy and a sandwich every once in awhile even though it's rare.

I put some soup in one of those camelback bottles that has the sealed rubber flip up straw. Works great! I had this totally awesome idea once that I will take raw oatmeal. My theory was that if I eat them raw they will swell up in my stomach thus taking away hunger. Umm yeah, chalk that up to plain old stupid idea. I will starve before ever trying that again, or I'll just get out of the tree and go eat:tu:

Snickers or payday for snacks along with some jerky. Also use the hydration bladder in my backpack. Sometimes I'll fill it with Powerade instead of water if i am sitting longer.

I'll often bring jerky on PM hunts but I'll have an apple every morning hunt. I start getting hungry around 8 and I'll usually sit till 10ish so it gets me through so I don't get cranky. I don't wake up early enough to eat before I go out for AM hunts. And when I do two-a-days a lot of times I forget to eat at home because the noontime nap always takes precedence.

I try to stay as scent free as possible, but for eats, I make a bit of a compromise: an apple, bottle of water and maybe a pb&honey sandwich. If I'm adding scent, at least I'm gonna go with things that somewhat appeal to a deer's tastes :)

If it's gonna be a all day sit and the weather is cold, I'll pack a thermos of hot soup and a sandwich or two. Early season I usually get down and go for
Lunch then take a nap in the truck the head back to stand around 2ish.

For just half day sits and snacks I usually take paydays or a bag of mixed nuts and some fruit.

So heres an old wives tale that my dad told but it almost makes sense....he only every ate meat at dinner and never throught the day...to nclude jerky...during the season...his reasoning was that deer have adapted their accute sense of smell tobe able to pick up on the odor of carnivore's breath. That though we try...we can take the small particles of meat out of our mouths and deer are particularly sensitive to that. I am not saying hes right but I have shyed away from eating meat during the day during hunting season, I think, subconciously..

I usually don't take anything with me during bow, I do try and grab something and eat it before going out. My stomach can sound like an angry lion if I wait too long.

If I am going to sit all day, I will bring a sandwich, protein bar, fruit, and some water. If I am only sitting in the morning or evening then I only bring water.

apples and granola bars. I'll bring a couple apples, drop one and crush it w/ my foot, then eat the other(s) and chuck the cores out in the field. If you have apples, deer will come.

I hunt some spots prety far from the road. On those days I take some water and gronola bar and pb & honey sandwich (lots of energy). It's just not feasible to walk back to truck unless I am done hunting for the day when I hunt these certain spots.

I don't bring any food unless it's an all day sit. If it's cold I'll bring hot cider or coffee. On all day sits I'll pack a granola or protein bar, some string cheese and a sandwich.
