Anyone else still have venison left? I think I am down to a couple of pounds of bacon, couple packs of polish and some hot dogs, the rest is all gone.
I still have a few back straps but I save those for early fall camping trips. We are still looking good on sumer sausage, burger, and brats. Usually two deer will last my wife and I until the next season.
We had five deer in our freezer...we're almost out! Worst part is, it's only two of us and I usually only cook it when he is home on the weekends! I have some tough buck steaks, some breakfast sausage, and a few packages of slim jims and that's about it!
I have a crap ton of summer sausage left. kind of went over board on that lol. Still have a few pounds of burger. have 3 roasts but those are fixing to get used up for jerky. still have some backstraps & tenderloins left. havent had as much grill time as ive wanted recently.
I have a ton left for some reason this year. Probably 60 lbs. of burger and 40 in steaks and a few roasts. Once the season nears I'll start eating it frequently again. Not sure how it happened. Usually only have burger left as I don't eat a lot of it normally. Single living I guess.
I have my tags from last year. I know what y'all are thinking, but really if you salt and pepper them with a little pimento cheese they chew up quite nice. And hey paper is good roughage.
My jerky was the first thing gone lol. Then my roasts but I still have some backstraps we save ours for sept cause i have a huge fish fry and cook out every year i also have some burgers and sausage left.
Still have 10 pounds of burger , plenty of steaks , and more than enough jerky to take to the stand with me this season .
3 backstraps left, 4 lbs of burger and some neck bones. gonna take vacation time the first week to smoke a doe or two.
Good to know, what time should I be there for supper?! Took three deer last year and I cooked the last medallions back in May and the parents got the last bag of burger in June.
