I am having a serious lack of motivation and dedication this year. After hurting my back and missing the GTG and not being able to shoot any, I have found it very hard to want to go out and check cams and prepare stand and lanes and everything. My back is finally getting better for me to move around without being in pain so hopefully my motivation will return. Got a lot of work to do to get things prepared for oct.1st. Really don't want to go buckless 2 years in a row.
I'm with Troy - don't worry about it. It's July, there's a million things to do besides hunting, it's hot outside and the mosquitos are horrendous this year. I'm not feeling very motivated either. But you can bet once those cool September nights start showing up there will only be one thing on our mind.
Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure that once your back is at 100% again, the motivation will return.
wait till that first cool morning, the smell in the air will bring it right back to you! hope the back heals up quick!
Hang in there man, I've had some back issues before. Some very aggresive stretching exercises eventually follwed by YOGA! Yes I said yoga. Our physical trainers here at work made me do it, and it worked amazing. My choice was surgery, or listen to our trainers, so I opted for the yoga. It was much harder than I gave credit for. Basicly it's a bunch of churched up stretching. Good luck, and what ever you do don't tell anyone on the forum I did yoga
Back injuries are no joke. Make sure you are fully healed before you start doing too much. It might be a good idea to force yourself to a little bit a prep now, because as the season draws closer, your motivation will return, and if you try to do all your preparation in a hurry all at once, you could put too much stress on your back and re-injure your back.
and a plastic bear at that! a real 24x7, nothing but hunting all manner of beasts hunter would have a real bear to molest, no? oh... I guess that was his original complaint, right?
I've had two back surgeries and bicep surgery so I can relate to how pain and immobility can kill motivation. Once it cools off a little and/or you are feeling better your attitude may change.
I would say something to that, but nothing good is coming to mind, so I will just leave it alone. But don't mess with pokey the bear.....
