I have recently been looking for a good Backpack to take with me to my property when I am working on it, and was wondering what you guys had for suggestions?

I am wanting a more "Tactical" looking back/ruck pack just because I already have some small bags that will attach but, the right bag may change that decision. I am wanting something I can fit my tablet in but along with that have it roomy enough for binoculars or small tools (Hand Saw, Compass, Soil Thermometer).

I am unsure if I want a Single Strap or Double Strap, Any suggestions? I feel like the double will be great for support but the single strap may be more convenient when on the trail.

Any ideas would be great, thanks!

I have 2 drago tracker backpacks. They have been used for everything from hunting, camping, range bags, overnight bags and even a year of school with my 9yrold after his school bag blew apart after only a week.
They have held up well and iirc they were about fifty. Has molle webbing and one of the pockets is perfect sized for a 7-9 inch tablet because that's where my boy carries his.

I have camelbaks and maxpedtion bags as well and while the Drago aren't quite the same quality as those, their pretty good without the price tag.

Blackhawk 3-Day Assault packs are pretty handy. I had them when I was still in the Army, theres no places to attach any extra pouches. Look into a MOLLE type system, I they have all those cool guy straps to attach all your cool guy stuff. MOLLE packs seem to have less space in the main pack because you can make up the room with the attachments.
If you can find a Military Surplus store, that would be a great place to look for a pack.

I use a UTG pack, very similar tot he Maxpedition, yet way cheaper. Pretty good size, and I can fit my Kindle Fire in it, with a variety of EDC stuff.

I've got a small camelback type. it holds a large water bottle (if I'm not using the bladder), small bags of snacks, tools, and any little extras. For a single day, not over night type it works very well. keeps me from taking too much

I have the bow bat as of now but, will no longer be using it. It just seemed like too much to carry around at the time, I have a Badlands pack for the treestand now but am looking for more of a travel pack to hold cameras, gps, tablet, etc..Using it more as a daypack for when i visit my stand sites pre-season.

Im hoping someone can show me something I have never seen before through searching.

I use a Sitka Flash 20 for hunting. I use a Camelback motherlode for general hiking - it's more tactical with molle and such. (The flash is a better pack, IMNSHO)

I use one of these with no frame:

Buy USA Medium Alice Packs at Army Surplus World

I was in the military and these packs are the most useful and durable daypacks I have used. Also big enough to use for an overnight trip if needed. If I am turkey hunting, it carries my decoys, stakes, and calls. I don't use it much for deer hunting but only because I hunt fairly small acreage and it is not needed. It would hold everything you mentioned in your original post, allow the attachment of your small bags, and is durable and will last a long time.

I am glad that you said something. I was dead set on ordering one, looks like I will be holding off for now.

Have some type of camelbak day pack I use all off season for scouting or whatever in woods. It's decent sized and can hold lots of gear, plus has a lot of mollie webbing so you can add pouches or whatever. Not sure what model it is I've had it for long time.

For hunting I have two different badlands pack but this gets used for everything else.

I've got a Badlands Monster that I just can't kill. I've hunted hard with it for probably 7-8 years now. I keep eyeballing the Kifaru Tailgunner 1 but can't justify it until I trash this Badlands.
