Anyone notice the ticks and bugs being worse this year. I have only been out a handful of times but every time has been terrible with ticks and other bugs.

Yea I was changing my oil today and came in with 2 ticks on me. Never had them get to the driveway. Then out in the woods I left and pulled 18 off my clothes. Just crazy.

Hell I'd be happy with 18. Me and my son went out just a bit further than the tree line and when we got back the most effective way to get them off was a roll of duct tape used like a lint roller.
This was with spraying ourselves before heading out.

I haven't been out in a while but looks like ill be treating all my hunting clothing with sawyers. Other then that the bugs are about the same as every year by me.

They are Always bad here. I will not go near the woods without my clothes, boots and gear being treated. Don't Take Any Chances!

Gnats are absolutely terrible here. Mosquitoes always are. Need to start spraying for aphids then it's 100x better.

No, it's a spray chemical called Permethrin. You spray down your clothes ahead of time, then once dry, anything that crawls on it dies. It last 4-6 weeks, and through several washings. I've only been able to find it at Bass pro and Cabelas, and online. Sports Authority used to sell it lcal, but not anymore that I can find.

Sawyers is the best works awesome also high yeild 38 it's got 38 percent permethrin in it the highest you cam get .I use a whole bottle of Sawyers per outfit it's more than recommended but it works better . I work in the woods everyday im out . So i spray a bottle on my work cloths each week lol it's soaked in it you don't need to do thus but I do working in the woods and I've had lymes twice and it's no joke when you get it it's terrible.

skeeters are really bad, but the gnats are horrendous. They don't bite but just swarm in clouds if there's not a steady breeze. Can't keep them out of my nose, eyes, ears, mouth. Can't hardly take a breath without inhaling them. They're so bad I broke down and hired a lawn service because as much as its been raining I have to mow twice a week and I couldn't take 2 hours twice a week drowning in gnats. Was worth the money to get it taken care of.

Ticks were really bad early but I haven't been in the field for about a month.

Thanks, I'll have to check another one. My local one doesn't carry it anymore.

Haven't noticed an increase in ticks this year (knock on wood), but the skeeters are definitely worse.
