Well, just sold my Hoyt Charger and am looking to get a new bow for this fall. Anyone else out there looking to upgrade? What are you guys thinking? I am going to shoot some of the Mathews line in the next week or so and maybe come home with one if it "speaks" to me.
I have shot many of the 2014 bows. My favorites being the faktor series and the energy line up. Absolutely amazing bows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I shoot a Hoyt target bow so I am slightly biased towards that. That said, really intrigued by Mathews.
I've been shooting Mathews for 10+ years. I went out and shot all the new bows this year and ended up with the Carbon Spyder 34. I shoot this bow better than any bow I've ever had. You need to shoot as many as you can and don't settle for one because of brand loyalty. When you find the one that fits you perfectly and makes you smile when you shoot it.....buy it! The only bow I've never recommend anyone buy is a Bowtech....I've seen too many problems with them and customer service is horrible. You might get lucky and get a good one but why take the chance?
I shoot Bowtech's really well, but a lot of people don't like them. The Experience I have now is really a great bow for me. Having said that I think this winter I am going to shoot a bunch of bows; Mathews, Elite, Bear, Obsession, Bowtech, etc., and see if something new jumps out at me. I am not a fanboy and never buy based on brand. I always suggest just shoot as many bows as you can and don't just buy based on name brand alone or what some guys on a forum say. We are all different, and like different things.
I know exactly what you mean. I have shot the three lines I previously mentioned but they were all pretty spaced apart and when I wasn't in the market. The plan is to shoot all three back to back to back in order to see what feels best to me.
Heading to the shop tomorrow, will let you guys know what I end up with! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
