Been looking around at climbers... looking for a comfortable lite (under 20lb) fast to setup and compact... anyone have any suggestions... dont care about cost...! Just am tired of walking in some of my places where I dont have the option to place a hang on there as they are far away plus theft is a problem Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
It doesn't fit many people's definition of comfortable, but I love my LoneWolf handclimber. I have been using it since 2009. I tried just about every other brand and only kept them a season or two before I bought the LoneWolf. It packs so nicely that it feels even lighter than it really is.
THIS with a few add-ons and you will be golden! add-ons: Thirdhand stabilizer straps, thirdhand bowholder (holds you bow both when you climb and hunt, no need for a bow rope) hazmore seat (replaces the stock seat and weighs only a few ounces....I just bought one, they are great!) worth every penny!!!!
That was the same stand I was looking at... so no complaints about it? Worth the money? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Not with the SD. Had an issue with my SS so they sent me a new SD. excellent customer service too if anything ever happens to it. Well worth the money will last a while.
There are many comfortable climbing stand stands on the market. The Summit line is in the top for comfort. Want to make a comfortable stand into a Comfortable recliner? This Summit is complete with Third Hand Archery's Universal Tree Stand Bow Holder, Stabilizer Straps and SS Foot Rest. That is a tough combination to beat.
Really like my summit, the only problem with it is it is so comfortable that I have fallen asleep in it while hunting.
Yes if you have good climbing trees around! Only complaint is how it packs on your back awkwardly, but another add on is the treestand transport systems shoulder harness which eliminates the feel of the weight, another worth it item! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hunt a lot because I can and I enjoy it. I also enjoy a refreshing nap while on stand. Sometimes the deer will wake me and some don't. Either way I truly enjoy it.
This is my climber too, and I would use nothing else! I have tried almost all the brands and Lone Wolf cleaned out, in my opinion. I will be getting a hang-on by them this year. Elite Energy 35 Ninja 29" 70lbs. QAD HDX HHA Optimizer Pro Easton Axis TRU Ball NAP Killzones HHS Hybrid
I will totally agree that the Lone wolf climber is light and easier to pack. It is almost like sitting on a stool. Sitting high on the net seat leaves no armrest. A Summit on the other hand is a couple pounds heavier but the sling seat is way more comfortable with a padded back rest and arm rest. I personally don't mind the extra 2-3 pounds for the additional comfort.
Tell us more how you hunt (how far you walk etc)... That matters a lot in which stand would be best for you.
I also have a Summit and really like it. A couple of my friends have climbers from Timber Tall Treestands based out of Middleburg, PA. These are great stands! Light, very steady, and have a knob that allows you to level it while in use. might want to check them out.
Net seats? LOL. I have owned Summit stands, they are nice but I reallly prefer the LW handclimber over them for where/how I hunt. I had an Open Shot and a Viper. Just like bows, most people try several stands before they find one they like. I have owned API, Loggy Bayou, Ol'Man, Summit, cheapo store brands, and Lonewolf. Like I said the LW is the only climber I have kept longer than a season or two. To each his own.
Another option is the TreeWalkertreestands.com. Very comfortable, sturdy, comparatively light and pack tight.
Summit open shot for long walks in and half day sits. Summit mini viper for all day sits. Mini viper if your small to medium size, full size viper if your a big guy.
I have been using my Lone Wolf sit and climb for 9 years and love it!!! I have done many all day sits with it!!
