this is for anyone out in Indiana. I am considering moving there and I am having a hard time finding regulations such as season bag limits for deer any info would be appreciated thanks
One buck per season and doe limits are on a county by county basis. There are also urban deer zones that have bag limits separate from the state season.
What part of Indiana are you considering? The hunting is good throughout the state but the northern and southern halves are the best. Blessings......Pastorjim
I followed that link thank you I can see the limits and laws are very different than here in ct I was a little confused reading the regs but I think I got it now. I am thinking terre haught where my daughter and granddaughter live just out of curiosity does anyone know how the waterfowl hunting is out there?
Waterfowl isn't the best, but isn't the worst. Terre Haute is close to the Wabash River and that is a decent flyway.
Terre Haute is under an hour from Linton. Goose Pond can be a great waterfowl hunt. You're also within an hour of Sullivan and Greene Counties. Both are IMO 2 of the best sportsman counties anywhere. If you like to hunt, fish and camp, you will have plenty of all in this area.
We learned in school that two halves make a whole correct. So by going off your post you are saying there is no bad spot in Indiana. But pastorjim is correct the northern third and the southern third of the state are the better hunting areas.
You are correct sir. I thought when I typed that, that I should use the word; "third" but I didn't. I also thought that using the word "third" would leave out the western part of the middle which is very good hunting. Really I should have said everywhere EXCEPT the area around Marion and Hamilton counties is good. Blessings.........Pastorjim
