New to the forum and posted this on the Turkey chapter. Saw all the volume was here so I reposted:

I'm looking for the "right" BLACK pants for blind hunting Spring turkeys: light weight, comfy, breathable....
What do you like and where did you get them.
Many thanks, and appreciate the insight.

I generally just wear jeans or whatever camo pants I have around. I think above the waist is the most important part, especially the hands and face. The turkeys really shouldn't be able to see you legs I would think. Remember to have the shooting window of the blind pointed away from the sunlight too so its as dark as possible in the blind.

I agree and have harvested a few long beards with my bow, my buddy several. My buddy and I were just comparing black pants to "normal camo" pants and there is definitely a reflection of light....being outside your blind looking in. We tend to work birds very close........most are under 10 yards......talk about changing turkey hunting from 40 yards and BOOM..........to 10 yards and under with a bow.........WOW.
    Thanks for the reply.

I think this must be a joke, right? Maybe you hunt some tall turkeys which can see in the blind.

I'd be more worried about what shells I'm using to hunt that 9' tall turkey that is able to actually see your pants..

    LOL
Have you had many birds in tight??
On level ground the closer the bird, the lower the window needs to be.
Love the diamond shaped windows on the Barronett blinds.......you can open them up nice and low for very close shots.
Yes, I've hunted in shorts too.
    Shells..........whose using shells?
Just looking for some info from others that know the advantages of ALL BLACK. You can't always have the sun at your back.

Camo pants are just fine for pop up blind hunting. waist up is all you should have to worry about!

I've had plenty work in within 5-10 yards. Still killed them with jeans on. I'll take the ninja tops but not the bottoms :)
