If you're going to limit me to those two...I'll take my game and go home. I prefer hellrazor fixed blades. Never used Swackers but I'll pass on the Rages.
Rage! You don't have to even shoot them because the animal will just fall dead. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
Rage! A lot of people don't like them and I am sure they have valid reasons. But they have always worked well for me.
well I dont want to give you just those 2 but out of those 2 what you prefer? I also could throe in thunderheads, and muzzy`s.
Swhackers all day long for me. Killed lots of deer with them. Never a broken blade once. Penetration is unreal and blood trails are nasty...at least all mine that i've have been. I did not believe in them until I tried them on a few deer...wow! I've shot Rage too, I like Hypodermics ok, but the blades broke too much for me. I have some of Hypo's, just kinda afraid to try them. Like said above, some hate em and some love em.
Next question, do you like Chevys or Fords? How many times are questions like this asked? You can always expect an argument and no conclusions. Try anything and if you don't like it, then change.
I would not let my dog use either. I used a rage twice. The first looked like all the pics you see with the big hole. The 2nd not so good. The head looked like a wrinkled pop can and the blades were broke off. If not for fresh snow we would of never found the deer. It hit a rib going in and never went through. Arrow came out after 100 yards or so. I looked at Swacker and after I stopped laughing I put them back on the shelf. But that's just me. There are a lot of people that use both with success. I am not one of them.
I didn't buy into Swhacker until I used them. Then I actually tried them, with great success and on a LOT of deer. I finally bought into them. No breaking blades, great blood trails, fly's perfect.
If energy is on the lower side, sub 65 ft lbs. I would stay away from both. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
This is a doe I shot last season from one of my food plots at 27 yards. Three blade rage did the job no problem. Deer was dead in under 100 yards. Have never had a problem with rages and have been shooting them since they came out. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Now I have seen some bad shots with a rage end up putting the deer down. I have seen it several times and every time the rage just tears up the deer to the point that it can't recover from the hit. You have to remember that the broadhead will only do so much. You have to make the right decisions like when to go after the animal if it is a marginal hit. Such was the case I recall on my buddys buck he shot on our land several seasons ago. He made a bad hit and we let it lay until the next morning. We took up a trail that was without blood for the first one hundred yards. Then I found some but it was just drops here and there. 200 yards from where he shot it we found it dead. It had bled internally and the organs hanging out the exit hole clogged it up. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
