Ok im looking to purchase a speed bow. Im looking at the obsession evolution or one of the crazy fast awesome custom breathn built bows. Does anyone have a breathn built bow if so show some pics and the custom specs thanx.
These bows are crazy and super fast like 360 true fps the breath built bows that John builds are nuts fully custom. Look on archery talk or archery addicts there awesome . I just want to know if anyone here shoots one .
I can show you pics of other peoples custom built breathn built bow. I don't have one yet im trying to decide which to get his are insane though.
Ok hang on he builds custom pse and other bows like hus famous 2008 hf6 100lb model and evos with omen cams and different limbs ill get some off AT.
Here is my custom built speed bow. 310FPS 416 Grain Arrow 70# Got this at 105 yards and had to take a pic.
Yeah I just want a speed bow to mess around with. I'll use my Mathews to hunt with but breathn built bows holds the record at 370 fps I'll prob end up getting the obsession evolution there's just something about that bow it keeps drawing me in lol plus I need and want a back up bow just in case. I had one but I just sold it to my friend and hunting partner cause he wanted a new bow without that new bow price tag so I sold him mine to get a new project.
Throw it in the trash! Haha I kid, I kid. I doubt much. He is mostly creating frankinbows out of slower bows to make them fast. Short of adding more poundage I'm not sure a guy could get much faster than 360-370. I read in an article a few years back that at 100% efficiency bows would never reach over 400 IBO. How that was measured I have no idea.
Yeah ive seen a couple of the frankinbows from him there pretty cool to hes got a couple different bow creations i like.
Still shooting my 3 year old destroyer 350 zero problems. Would like to shoot the rpm 360 but the only thing I don't like in any bow is split limbs design. Years ago I shot a 80lb pse omen at a pro shop they were selling at cost because no one could shoot it,the cams were harsh.
That was 0% let off, 70lb, 30" draw with 350 grain arrow. It was all calculations. No real world testing. Seeing how some companies are getting 370fps with 75% let off, I really do not see bows getting much faster. Not without adding poundage. I'm good with the speeds I'm getting. It's just intriguing to see the speeds.
