I DON'T want to get FLAMED or upset the board...but, why do people get a new bow, frequently?
I'm a a discriminative person, I like nice things, but I don't see myself get a new bow anytime soon.
It not being short of money or the wife saying NO, I guess, it might be different if I was on TV or trying to be.

I'll don my flame retardant underwear now.

When I have a few weeks where I'm not shooting at my best, my first port of call is a new bow. I have often thought about trying to correct issues with form or tune, but it's much easier to just replace the bow.
I remember not to be fooled into thinking that it's the archer that makes the shot, it's the bows fault, otherwise you wouldn't see people arguing about whether a PSE would beat a Bowtech.

I buy what I want when I want it. If I decide to buy a new bow, I will.

I could probably get work in a horse and buggie, but I choose to drive a car. Technology changes, products improve.

I usually buy a new bow every year, sometime more then one. Its simple, I like bows. Some I keep awhile and some I move out right away. I any event I never have less then two bows on the hangers and ready to go...

I am not understanding this thread? Are you asking if you should buy a new bow or why people buy new ones every year? I buy a new bow whenever I get the urge and I can get it for a good price! I went three years between purchases this time but I have gone as long as eight years! Heck I know people that buy trucks every year! To each is own!

I have no idea what is going on...? I agree with Buster. Are you asking if you should get a new bow or why people get new boys every year?

It's just what some people are into. It could be like a drug or addiction. I'm always wanting a new bow, but there's other things in life I want more right now.

People have the things their into. I have a buddy that does race cars. He's always buying new stuff for it. Same thing with archery. There's always something more or better.
How about cell phones. People are always wanting the latest and greatest, and to some people, they're willing to pay the cost.
Houses, people are constantly upgrading their house. Ever seen those people that it seems like are always moving.
Computer people are the same way...

My point it, mosteveryone has their habit, hobby, addiction, whatever you want to call it. You may not have that personality, but if not, you're probably the minority.

Thats a good question. I don't have other hobbies or interests so when a new bow comes out I like to try it. Its kinda like dating someone. Its great for the first few weeks but after that you start to notice the short comings. And of course there is only so many things you cam tweak before you run out of things to do.

Ask people why they lease cars. Its because money is no object to them, or they have no real clue about their financial situation. Or as stated above, they are just real poor archers and think buying a new bow will fix it.

Ha ha ha that GIF made me laugh hard! Just to clarify, I was joking, I was just reflecting and exaggerating an attitude you seem to find amongst some archers, sorry if I didn't make it clear.

i agree. in my picture, i'm more tan, and my bow is a bowtech commander.

those are really the only differences.

Everyone has their hobbies and interests. Far worse things you can spend money on. If I wasn't saving for land and a new house I would probably upgrade more.
