In a previous post, I mentioned that I was currently bow-less. This was only due to the fact that after trying out the new Elite Energy 35, I knew that my bow, although not even a year old, wasn't going to cut it anymore. A little back story before we get to the bow porn. I got in to hunting last season, and bought my first bow, a Cabela's Regulator by Bowtech, for all the wrong reasons. The guy at Cabela's was nice, and talked me in to it. I liked it because it was lighter than the PSE Stinger that I had intended to buy. Although it is embarrassing to admit, I bought it without even shooting it. ( A huge mistake in hind sight ) After shooting and reading more about bows in the weeks after, I realized that the Regulator was ok, but I hated how it wanted to jump out of your hand at full draw. It was very difficult to focus on form, and aim when the bow just wanted to sling arrows. After an unsuccessful albeit fun first whitetail season, I came to realize that I just plain hated shooting my bow. It wasn't fun. So I returned my bow to Cabela's, and they were nice enough to give me a refund even though it was well past the return deadline. After reading all the reviews on Elite's new Energy line, it sounded like these bows had everything I was looking for. Solid back wall, smooth draw, no hand vibration, fast, quiet...deadly. So I headed out to a local bow shop (Buck & Bows Archery in Gibsonia, PA). I shot everything they offered. Elites, Bowtech, Mathews, PSE. But just like I had expected, it was only when I shot the Elite 35 that I said, "Oh my god, this one." The Energy 32 was excellent as well, but its draw cycle seemed to peak more abruptly than the 35, whose draw was buttery smooth the entire length. And the back wall...my god, the back wall. I didn't think a back wall this solid was possible after shooting the Regulator. It didn't take long to decide after that. Allen @ Bucks & Bows set me up, and I am now the very proud owner of a great shooting bow, the Elite Energy 35. I still need a stabilizer and quiver, but here is the bow after leaving the shop.
I've had my E32 since mid December it might have been one of the first with 80lbs limbs sold in Canada I love it, I would have bought the E35 too but I share 9 different properties with a friend who shoots a crossbow so many of our stands are fairly tight and brushed in enjoy your new bow Dan
Although I have another brand of bow on order I can honestly say that is the best looking bow currently on the market in my opinion. Maybe I should have waited until a nearby dealer had some in stock but I didn't. Congrats and enjoy your Elite.
I sold my Hoyt Vector and bought the E35 this year as well. I liked my Vector but the upgrade to the Elite was substantial. I love it.
Really nice looking bow, best of luck with it. I also bought myslef a new bow for the upcoming season, like you, me PSE is just over a year old but I felt I needed a change, so I bought a Strother SX RUSH. Cant wait to fire that puppy. I will post pictures asap! GROMMEL
All I hear is good things about the E-35. I usually only get a new bow about once every 10 years or so, but I keep hearing how far bows have come since I got my last bow 5 years ago. May have to go harass a local dealer and shoot some bows. Congrats on a sweet looking setup!
I'm glad I made the switch to Elite. Have to shoot these Energys for yourself. Welcome to the Ninja Club
They are awesome bows. I know several who own them and have shot may. If I could afford it, I'd have one. For now my Centroid does just fine. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Awesome! They are so unbelievably smooth. I shoot a Pure, and didn't think there would be a bow that would come out and blow me away, but the E35 makes me want a new bow already. Maybe next year I will let myself... jlathigee- That snow camo is awesome.
I shot an Energy 35 over the weekend at a new Elite dealer and Levi and Samantha Morgan were there. The E35 was deader in my hand than my pure and I got to see how Levi has his E35 setup. I got to watch him shoot a few arrows and he offered to let me shoot his bow, but shot the dealer E35 instead. Levi was great to talk to and was more than happy to help anyone with a question about setup and shooting in general
Have had and only hunted with an Elite GT500 since 2009. Not anymore. I just traded it in for an Energy 35. Holy @*#& was all I had to say!! What blew me away the most was the lack of vibration at the shot. Sold!
