I'm looking to pick up a new hard case for the new Creed XS. I don't want to spend $200 on a new case. Anybody use a case they really like, or know a place to buy one at a good price? Thanks in advance for the feedback!
I like my Plano All Weather case. I wanted the black one, but got the All Weather Bone Collector Edition off Amazon for $89 shipped. Bass Pro wanted something like $139 I think.
Yeah I too have the Plano all weather and it's awesome. Very durable case Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I don't think you will ever find a better case then the Lakewood Products Bowfile. Why do so many people go out and spend well over a thousand on a bow then cheap out on a case? I have never understood that. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
Sure you will, check out the SKB bow cases. Not cheap, but they make the best bow case out there. That's where my $1000 bow gets stored when I travel.
Seen them many times. Still think the Lakewood cases are better. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
Chad, I picked up a hard case at Fleet Farm some years back. Not a plastic case but a very nice quality aluminum/with camo cover case. I would highly recommend it. Under $100.00. Good Luck!
Agree with Ferg. The Lakewood cases are the best for frequent use. Mine sits behind my seats in my SUV. I never even have to take it out because its a top load design! Flip open the top, grab, and go! Now if I was going to travel the world I would probably go with a SKB.
I have a Plano Pillar Lock now that I like a lot. I am buying the SKB because I need a case that holds 2 bows.
I keep my Z7 in a SKB Hunter case. I think it is a great case for the price. Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk 2
I bought the top of the line SKB case and it came apart. Seams need to be glued to the frame not just riveted. They sent me a new one and I promptly sold it on Craig's list. I own the Lakewood now but not sure id fly with it. Bought a big duffle bag that I'll make a case for my bow and just put it in the bottom of the case. Not hidden but just so that it doesn't look like a hunting case for the anti working for the airlines.
My SKB Rectangle case has been to Alberta 5 times without any issues at all. It's a good choice for travel because with it's size you can pack clothing around your bow, which really helps protect it.
There is nothing wrong with a cheaper plastic Plano case besides being bulky. Soft cases are just more convenient and lighter. The SKB line looks nice and def more reasonably priced compared to Lakewood
The only time I use my hard case is for long trips, which are pretty far and few between. Outside of that a soft case works just fine when the majority of the time my bow is either sitting in my house, sitting in the backseat of my truck, or taking a drive down the highway in the bed of my truck with the rest of my gear. I never understood the need to have a hard case and lug the stupid thing around all the time. What exactly are you people doing with your bows that requires them to be in virtually bomb proof containers? Are you putting them in the bed of your truck and then driving through some sort of Baja off-road course on the way to your stand?
