    Hey Guys,
Ive been looking at some Spot Hogg sights and I'm kind of stuck on the size of the pin. The .029" vs the .019" wondering if any of you guys have shot both? And which one you liked better and why?
    Thanks!

I'd say the .019 is a standard size for most sights that do not give an option. I just bought a HHA Optimizer lite with a .010 sight pin and I love how small it is. Aim small miss small. Unless your eyes aren't the best, I would recommend going with the .019 or smaller. The further the distance you are shooting, the more the pin will cover up, thus a higher margin for error. Just my thoughts.

I use to shoot .029" a few years ago. I purchased the sight listed in my signature in .019" and immediately after installing it, my 3D scores went up. I'm almost 68 years of age and wear glasses (with blended lenses) but I've had no issues with the smaller pins.

My hunting sights have a .029 top pin and .019 after. 99% of the time with whitetail hunting my shots are under 20 yards and the larger pin draws my eye to it naturally for the majority of my shots. I also set my sights up so my top 20yd pin is in the middle of the pin guard and the rest of the pins are under it, again because the center pin is the natural center of focus for the majority of my hunting shots.

Can't add much that hasn't been already stated. I'm a huge fan of .19's for hunting. .29's are just too big for me.

ok so seems that the .029 is too big the .019 is pretty good, but is the smaller the better, i have really good eyes my only concern is the .010 may be weaker and maybe break? But i have no idea. But the .019 and the .010 seem to be to best?

    .019s

.010s tend to disappear on me for some reason.

.019 are good for 20-30 but after that all my puns are .010 for a fixed pin and for a slider just a .010

Smaller the better for me. Right now I have .019's in my sight and wish I could get it down to the .010's. Aim small miss small and if the pin is gigantic then it's easy to not be consistent, especially out to longer distances.

I like .019s myself. Used to have .029s and I didn't care for them much.

Both of my sights have the .019 pins and I am very happy with them! The sights I looked at with the .029 pins seemed crowded to me. Just my opinion.

I have a Spott Hogg Hogg It 5 Pin, the pins are .019' but i am considering ordering the .010' pins for my 40, 50 and 60 yard pins. the smaller pins are much better for longer distances.

I use .19 I believe and I love it. I am thinking about getting an HHA sight and ill probably get it in the smallest pin size available.

You can use what you prefer but when it comes to low light , You'll want at least a 19 so you can see what your shooting at. 10's are best for 3d. Been there with a 10 pin and couldn't see the buck even though he was only 10 feet in front of me.
