I've been looking to experiment with some new arrows. Just wondering what sticks everyone else is flinging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I shot the Beman ICS Hunter 350's for years and they were great. Switched to CX Maxima Hunter 350's, another great arrow and now I shoot the CX Maxima Red 350's, another great arrow. However, I've heard many people complaining that they're breaking easily. Also, they're about 15 grains lighter than the Maxima Hunters that were the same length and setup. But so far, they shoot nice groups for me. I don't know if the new carbon wrapping technology helped at all, but I got a pass through at 37 yards the last week of bow season. I don't have access to a chrono so I cant tell you the speed differences in the three.
I've been shooting the Maxima Reds as well. They group well and have been pretty durable for me so far
I've been shooting beaman bone collectors but recently just bought some of Eastons da'torch arrows Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hunt with Gold tip Pro hunters, and practice with Gold tip Devastators or XT hunters. They all are refletched right helical with blazers and all hit to the same place.
Depending on what I am hunting and what bow I am using: ACC 3-49 ACC 3-71 FMJ 300 FMJ 340 Axis 300 Axis 340 GT Velocity Pro 300 The all have heavy inserts and either Trueflight 4" feathers or Flex-Fletch FFP-360 vanes.
Carbon Express Reds have been shooting great through my bow. I have shot the Carbon Express BlueStreaks as well. Great performing arrows.
I switched to the Easton Axis for this year. Haven't been able to shoot much yet but from what I have seen they shoot very well.
I am still finishing off the last of my Easton Carbon Raiders and because of availability slowly transitioning to Beamans.
beman hunter pro 340.....very durable...why buy more expensive arrows when you can buy 2 dozen good arrow..
