Does anyone know the weight of the React 5 pin sight compared to other sights?

Also.....On the 5 pin React sight, is it possible to sight your top 2 pins in at 30 and 40 instead of 20 and 30 or will this throw the other pins off?

I bought this sight and was worried that it might be a gimmicky sight. Not true. It dialed in quick and easy. I really like it. I really don't have any clean 60+ yard shots so I set mine at 20-60 yards

No idea what the specs are for weight. It isn't exactly light. Whatever you set the difference between the first two pins will set up the rest of pins with the same difference. So yes, if you start at 30, 40. The rest will be 50, 60, 70.

For example if you went with 30, 45. The rest of pins would be set at 60, 75, 90.

No problem. It works well. I really like the ease of setting it up.

I'm not sure if that's exactly right. I thought it's calibrated for 20-60 yards exactly. Maybe you're right and you can set it up at different beginning yardages. I'll check to see what I can find out.

I've got a couple of contacts at Trophy Ridge. One of them is an Engineering Tech. I sent them an email. I'll post their reply when I get it.

Good find there Oly. Here's an excerpt from that link....

"Can I start the first pin at 30 yards? No in order for the mathematics behind our Smart Pin Technology to work the first pin must be set at 20 yards (this pin is fixed to the housing). Each pin must be set in the common 10 yard increments...20,30,40,50 and 60 yards."

My bad. Didn't realize starting point had to be 20. If you are looking to shoot at 80. The bubble works well with my set up.

This is the reply I got from one of my contacts at Trophy Ridge. He forwarded my email to the lead engineer on the React sight. Here is his response.....

"Both of his scenarios below would work if the bow was fast enough. It would require less speed to do the 30-70 scenario. My guess would be about 265 or faster. It would take quite a bit more speed to get the 30-90 with 15 yard increments. My guess would be 315 or faster. Both of these guesses are just guesses though.

I do know my bow works great with 20, 35, 50, 65, and 80 at 300fps. It just barely works though and I don't think 295 would work. The sight is almost at it's full pin gap at this setting on mine.

Another set-up that works good on the slow end is 10-50 yard pins with 10 yard increments. This is how my son shot a React this year going 230 fps.

    Hope this all makes sense."

So, I guess it just depends on the speed of your bow and you'll have to experiment. Good luck!
