Just curious to what everyone's heaviest deer they've ever taken were. My neighbor shot a 268 lb buck this past weekend! The rack scored 180!

Last years buck weighed 220 dressed, scored 166.

This years buck weighed 230 live weight, scored 177. Doesn't make much sense

The farther they are from the truck… they heavier they get ;)

In all honesty, the only deer I ever weighed were in OK (have to weigh deer to check them in) and I never saw one field dressed go over 200.

Scales certainly limit the size of the story.

We don't have to weigh in so I really don't know other than to say back when we did weigh in, I killed a doe that dressed in at 139#

I've killed doe as big or bigger since but not put on a scale.

I've not killed a really big bodied buck.

Here is a pic of a doe I suspect was as big as the 139# field dressed doe I had killed years earlier.

In 26 years of hunting NY I have never seen a deer weigh more then the 140's field dressed.

I think the average hunter believes deer weigh a LOT more then they really do.............especially knowing friends who butcher for a living. I know I was surprised.

That's where I go when I hunt out of state , their smaller deer are easy to drag but I did see 1 go 237 .

My largest was about 250 here in Missouri but we don't have scales .

My largest, believe it or not, was 275lbs. It was so heavy my brother-in-law and I couldn't load it into his truck. We had to back the truck up to the side of a ditch so we could just sort of slide it down the side of the ditch into the truck.

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

I shot an 8 point in 1985 that weighed in at 237 field dressed. Had a 21 inch spread, 5 inch bases, but his longest tines were only 4-5 inches. I think he score around 105 or something like that.

Taxidermist had to use a Mule deer form for the mount.

My largest I never weighted but my cousins buck this year was smaller and weighted 221 dressed. My buck had 74 lbs of deboned meat without the loins and back straps. He was 6.5 or older.

This dude I took last year weighed 235 on the hoof. It was all my son and I had to get him into the truck. He was a pig.

I don't know what it weighed live (I have no way of weighing a whole deer) but my biggest yielded 98 .lbs of red deboned meat.
I've had guys tell me that it could have been as big as 250 live but I really don't know.
