Saw this on FB this afternoon. I'm guessing the article is from a anti hunting site but what do you think? Is this just giving the anti hunting groups more ammo? Or would you do same thing? Me personally I woulda probably did same thing but I can see where its also something that can be used against hunters.

I would have shot it without second thought. I have every right to legally hunt private land and if they want to try to get "ammo" in the form of me following laws and hunting, they are in the wrong. Boom, dead drone. If i saw it hit the ground and was weilding a 12ga it sure wouldnt be that intact for pictures. Lol!

HAHAHAH! I love it. Looks like they retrieved their little toy that was shot down. I am assuming from private ground. If so, I would prosecute for trespassing!

Doesn't look shot to me. Looks more like pilot error. Mr. Animal Rights activist was trespassing, no doubt about it. You own up to 500ft and below of the air around your property. That RC airplane with a camera stuck to it certainly wasn't over 500ft in the air.

Start convicting some of these morons and they'll stop. They don't mind standing up for what they believe in when there aren't any repercussions, but when the fit hits the shan they'll fold like a bunch of cards.

"Seconds after it hit the air, numerous shots rang out".....Did the idiot ever stop to think he may have sent his toy into the air at the very moment they kicked up some pigeons? It's called collateral damage. Your toy got in the way. Who's next?

Maybe if this twerp had a job, instead of living in his moms basement he wouldn't have time to screw up somebody else's afternoon.

I love the writing of the article too.

And stop calling your RC helicopter with a GoPro camera on it a "drone" . You bought it at the Toy Store you idiot.

I definitely would have shot it down. I would love to get a drone with my bow!! Some great comments on there and almost primarily people in support of the hunters. Good to see.

In Florida it's illegal to interfere with hunters.

If Animals have rights then where do they get off keeping them trapped in their homes to live a life of captivity? Not able to escape the confines of a humans preferred dwelling till they arrive home and let them outside just long enough to relieve themselves then back to captivity. Most are spaded or neutered so even their only natural pleasure is surgically cut out of the lives.

    I'm just saying.

I don't think it's giving the anti's "more ammo" at all, and they'll get over it.
They were harassing hunters, and should have been arrested. Pretty sure there is legislation in the works to ban this type of drone
    harassment.
