I have shot 2 does last year with the 3 blade coc heads. Both were double lung broadside, but the deer didn't run more than 40 yards. The blood trails were outstanding. I still have some in my quiver for this year. Although I am going to try to shoot my first deer of the year with a g5 t3.

Not a fan. I banned them after one of our hunters badly sliced 2 bucks open. My Son dumped one for the book and I cleaned up His second mess 2 weeks later. Pass thru? Angled shots? Penetration? Having said that my buddie just dumped a big AZ. bull with the Hyperdermic. I won't use any expandable but I also don't tweet or facebook either.

Read the horrible reviews on the Cabelas website. Same common theme. The #1 reason to use them is "I don't have to tune my bow" Logical.

I think this might be the 10th rage opinion thread lol. I used them 1 season. Decided I was getting robbed by the company paying that much for broadheads. Went back to the old reliable muzzy's.

I've shot 3 deer with them and so far they are devastating on the deer. The blood trail is easy to follow and I will continue to use them.

I don't use expandables. On Dream Season this season a guy got one caught on his glove as he drew and it opened. He had to ditch that arrow and nock a new one. Not to mention my rule is, if it moves, it can malfunction.

I used the original Rage 2-blade about 4 years ago. I took a couple does with them and had no problems. Both were complete pass throughs and they fell within sight. I didn't like the O-rings at all. They rotted after the first year and the blades would fall open. And, while watching the hunting shows that use them and seeing the lack of pass throughs, I grew suspect of them. So, I went back to G5 Strikers for the last few years.

I've decided to give the Rage another try this year since they come up with the shock collar. Looks to be a big improvement over the O-rings. I just think you need to pump some serious lbs of k/e to use them, especially the Xtreme. Having said that....I'm pushing over 75lbs of k/e with my setup and I'm going to try the Xtreme 125's this year.

I really think broadheads comes down to personal opinion. I've killed deer with Rage,Muzzy, Thunderhead, and Slick Tricks. Good shot placement is key. I prefer fixed blades with the Slick Tricks being my favorite broadhead of choice.

I've killed 3 deer with them and several more with other expandables and have NEVER had a problem, malfunction or otherwise failure. The Rage has caused some massive blood trails and the 8 point I shot last year went a mere 25 yards and buried up. I know that mishaps can happen, but I've never experienced one with an expandable broad head

im trying the rage HD's this season. I shoot a pse brute 65lb, Easton bloodline arrows, 330 grain and 100 grain tips. DL 28". I shot my buck on Friday 25' up @ 15 yards away. steep angle no pass through, clipped both lungs, sliced a top valve in the heart. blood was pumping out the second the arrow hit, and did pierced a hole on the opposite side of the chest cavity near the shoulder. not happy the blade broke....but it worked.

Rage/FeraDyne has done well enough to purchase Muzzy, as most know.

I put them in m quiver 4 years ago. I drew back on a doe one evening, and at full draw I realized that 1 blade was hanging open. I let down and tried to fix it, by that point the doe was through my lane. After that hunt I went home and took the Rage heads off, and put on my NAP Nitrons. I sold the Rage's on archery talk after that.

I know you asked about Rage but why not shoot Spitfires or Killzones by NAP? New Archery Products in my opinion puts out the best products made. They have been at it for a long time. Both of the heads I mentioned don't use any Orings or clips of any kind. I don't know why anyone would fool with something with a rubber band. Give NAP a try. You will not switch back.

I have had good experience with rages. Honestly its either you like them or you don't. I blasted a doe last year with the 3 blade chisel tip and the blood trail was ridiculous. The snow just made it that much better. She only ran about 60 yards and piled up. I will continue to use them this year.
