Arrow wraps VS. Fletching

Been reading a little about making your own arrows and was wondering if it is better to put on your own Fletchings with a jig or simply putting on an arrow wrap? How do the arrow wraps perform in comparison to glueing on your own Fletchings?

 

I'd do the long slower route if you can. Quick wraps are ok but fletching your own is almost like art

 

Well you might have a problem putting just a arrow wrap on lol The quick fletch works great though.

 

I have done both. Honestly I like the ease of the QuickFletch the best.

I use QuickFletch all the time now. It is easy, works great and if it makes a differeance I am not a good enough shot to notice.

I like the quick fletch. I use them with my recurve as well and they work great. I wasn't sure if they would or not before I tried them.

For about $12 a dozen vs $50 a dozen, I'd fletch my own. Even with the purchase of an $80 Bitz, just over 2 dozen and you've broke even. After that you're just saving money. I went through 5 packs of NAP QuickFletch. I could have paid for a Jig.

Lets not forget the weight they add to the back and FOC you loose. They aren't that durable or weren't for me anyways.


Now if you want fast and easy, they are the way to go. 5 minutes and you've got a dozen fletched arrows. The QuickSpins do tighten your groups. But, then again so do the QuickSpin vanes. That's what I have went to using now. They do fly pretty dang well.

 

Another vote for the quick fletch.

 

Not even close, fletch your own....comes to about a 1/3 and you get better quality, more choices and options.

 

Have done it both ways, pros and cons on both setups. I love the pride I get by fletching my own , but I get great results and preformance out of the Quick fletch's and I'm out shooting them in mins.

 

I have used both also, just like many bowhunters have. However, i like to just fletch my own arrows. I think that flechin your own arrows is way more durable! The quickflech are good if you wanna fletch a dozen arrows in a few minutes, but they tear way easier, causing you to spend more money on em. For just target shooting it doestnt matter but for hunting id go with fletching your own, ive hunted with quick vanes and ive gotten pass throught and the entire vane slipped off my arrow, and i followed the instructions exactly on how to apply them. Also for myself, i think that the bohnig blazer wraps are better than the NAP quickfletch, but thats just me. In my opinion just try em all and see what you like the best, all i know is that i will go back to fletchin my own arrows.

 

Wraps and then fletch. Always enjoy 'building' a new arrow and customizing it to what I want.
