I am over that thick scentlock full head cover. Its hot and alot harder to hear with it on, not to mention somewhat uncomfortable. I will still keep it around for a backup or if it gets cold, but thats about all i can stand to use it for anymore.

So how do you all cover your head/face during a hunt, particularly early season but the rest of the year as well.

I dont do anything but grow a little bit of scruff on my face. I dont really care for the face covers unless it is really really cold. Paint drives me nuts and breaks my face out with a rash.

Depending on the weather I use a neck gaiter, balaclava, or camo bandana and a beanie.

I used a scent lock face mask last year, but it got really not and hard to breath so I bought some CamoFX facepaint for the upcoming turkey and deer seasons.

Andrew, looking at that picture mate, your tree stand is set up in a dangerous horizontal position, i hope you have your harness on:lol:

sorry mate couldnt help it. To the OP, i use camo face paint and if its super cold a balaclava. I also wear a ball cap usually with the face paint and if looked at by an animal i drop my head a bit.

I use a face veil made out of camo mozzie netting for these reasons.
    1) Keeps the mozzies off your face.
    2) You can still hear properly with it on.
    3) It doesn't get hot.

If it gets cold I just put a beanie on under it or a wool balaclava. As for stalking, I hold my camo bow up in front of my face 1) to conceal it and 2) So I can draw back without taking my pins off the target.

I have a face mask I usually wear that covers up to my nose. Other than that I pretty much gave up the face paint several years ago.

My asat 3d came with a face net, but I can't stand it. I use face paint + scruff when I can get away with it at work.

I'll use a beanie+bandana if its windy or cold.

I have a wild turkey Whiskey bandana I'm hoping will give me some good luck next Monday.
