    I have wanted to build this for a few years now and I'm so glad that I did. This thing pulled the hide right off the deer. I should have built this back when we first started talking about it.

    If you're wondering how we skin a buck thats headed to the taxidermist we hang it from the hind legs and skin down that way so we don't damage the cape. Hopefully we'll run into that problem soon:tu:

    Well I tried it on 150 lb buck (we weighed him first) tonight and it was much harder then the doe. I plan on trying a few more things to perfect it. I'll let you know how it goes.

    Haha no, it would be kind of inconvenient and unsanitary to anchor a pulley to the concrete floor. Plus, I try to cape out to mount 1 out if every 5 of my deer :D last year alone, I caped out 6 bucks over 140" to mount :rock:

    Amazing i was thinking about doing something like this made but with a concrete pad for easy clean up

    Concrete would be a lot better. We may end up taking that out and pouring a pad there.
