Anyone ever build an elevated platform, and put your ground blind on it?

I haven't but have been thinking about it. It would require a blind with windows that went low, almost down to the bottom of the sidewalls, in order to shoot at the lower angle. I haven't gotten that far along though to start looking specifically.

As far as staking it down, I would think you could put some eyebolts in a platform to tie the corners down to. Then bungee from each corner up through the wall center tiedown and down across to the other corner. That would hold the blind in place and the sides from caving in.

There are 2 on a farm to my west. They are quite nice for the rain. One is a metal frame that has a regular canvas blind. The other is wooden 4x4's that you had to assemble with a plastic box on top.

Too much work IMO. And hard to bowhunt out of. Sweet for shotgun season though.

I built a permanent elevated blind. I used cattle panel for the walls and netting on the inside ..thinking about going even further and lining the inside again with plastic.
